September Phuket!

Heyy guysss..

So we have booked our flights to Phuket and we're going next month! Mid-September! It's amazing how time flies.. we went to Phuket early September last year when we were still dating and fell in love with the place. We stayed for about 4 days last year but thought that it was too quick and we didn't get to go to the night market and explore other parts of the island. So I guess this is our yearly Phuket anniversary.
Last year we stayed at Patong area. We didn't stay near the nightlife so it was quiet at night which is awesome. This time we decided to stay in a new area. Haven't booked the place nor the return ticket yet.. not sure how long we'll be staying this time. We're still deciding on the return date hehe..

Let's go back to some history. A few years ago, Jeff went on a Phuket trip with his big family and hated it. They went on a tour group and the tour guide was apparently so bad that the trip was a disaster. So he had a not so good image of Phuket.

Me, on the other hand, has never been to Phuket. So last year was my first time there. I've been to Bangkok and never have much of a liking for it. It reminds me too much of Jakarta but nicer but it's the capital city. So same chaos, traffic.. stress people.

We decided last year to book our trip together to Phuket and was so surprised. We fell in love with the place. I prefer Phuket so much that I would rather go there than Bali! We rent a motorbike (a must! If you are traveling to Phuket or Bali) and drove around Phuket and just.. lovee.. love.. love. We even hit a humongous snake with our motorbike on the way down from the Big Buddha! That was a scary experience! The sad thing last year was that we spent 2 days traveling to other islands that we didn't have time to find good local street food and all.. like night market. So that is our main goal this time. To eat good local food!

Anyway, let me go back to finding our accomodation for our stay. I will definitely blog our trip! Here is a photo I took from a boat ride we had last year in Phuket! Can't wait for our next adventure!

Love,
JeffCha
