Kozantei Ubuya

So for this trip in Japan, we decided to book a private suite at a ryokan, Kozantei Ubuya. Located at Kawaguchiko. We have looked at a lot of ryokan in this area and found that Kozantei's private suite room number 501 is the best choice for us! We wanted a full Japanese room with Mt.Fuji view. So after emailing them regarding which room we wanted.. we got it! I was soo happy. Cuz the other private suite was a western room and we didn't want that.

We booked this room through here. This is the website to book from their official website. And we booked our bus trip through here.

As we arrived at Kawaguchiko Station, we decided to walk to the ryokan cuz their shuttle bus is only available at 13:00 which was too late for us. We arrived at around 11:00am. We took a bus from Shinjuku Station (pre booked this online) cuz it was the most efficient way to go to Kawaguchiko. With a train, we needed to transfer and all, and it was quite a hassle. So we end up taking a bus straight from Shinjuku Bus Terminal - Kawaguchiko Station.

When we arrived at the ryokan, we wanted to drop our luggage first so that we can walk around the area, then come back at 14:00 to check in our suite. Anyway, the nice lady at the reception gladly took our luggage and our tripod with her and off we went out to find lunch.

This is what I ate for lunch. SOOOO yummy. It was only a few blocks away from Kozantei.

Anyway, when we came back to Kozantei at 14:00, we sat down at the lobby area and the lady brought out hot ocha and snacks. The ocha was so thick and green, I fell in love. I'm not sure where you can get those type of ocha. I should have asked but I was too excited with everything that my mind was just .. BLANK.

We were escorted to our room by a lady in kimono. The room was gorgeous. Definitely worth all the penny we spent on this ryokan!!! Everything was perfect. The bathroom, living room, balcony, private bath, living room, everything! The room was hugeee! And I just love the Japanese interior. So minimal and efficient. I wish one day my home can be like this. The lady prepared us green tea once we were in the room as she explained to us all the facilities in the area, what to eat nearby, etc etc.

We decided to stay in the room and enjoy the view by the bath out in the balcony until dinner time. We took photograph, enjoyed each other's company, drank green tea.. I wish time would stop and we could stay like this forever.

The breakfast was served privately downstairs overlooking Mt.Fuji yet again. Robe was provided in the room and we were supposed to wear it downstairs for breakfast. It was such a cute robe. Maybe I just find things in Japan so beautiful and cute and awesome! I just love this country so much. Anyway, breakfast was such a beautiful view. The breakfast looked small at first but as we kept eating and eating, it was sooo muchh fooood!! They even asked if we wanted to refill anything, like rice and such. OMG.. too much good food for me!

I will definitely come back to this ryokan again! I think this is the best ryokan with Mt. Fuji view in Kawaguchiko. Love the experience here/

Love,
Cha
